Wrong Intention

There are Christians who sin with the intention that they would ask for forgiveness from God afterward.

There are consequences of sin that are not within the experience of forgiveness of sin.

You can choose to ask God for forgiveness of sin, but that will not erase the dishonor and shame that came with that sin.

You can choose to ask God for forgiveness of sin, but that will not stop the demonic affliction that came with that sin.

You can choose to ask God for forgiveness of sin, but that will not stop you from being a slave to that sinful conduct.

You can choose to ask God for forgiveness of sin, but that will not restore the relationships you lost because of that sin.

You can choose to ask God for forgiveness of sin, but that will not stop the experience of death in your soul because of sin.

You can choose to ask God for forgiveness of sin, but that will not heal the sexually transmitted disease you contracted when you sinned.

Rather than wait till after the sinful act to ask God for forgiveness, why not ask God to deliver you when you are being tempted to sin?

God did not only forgive us our sins in Christ Jesus, he is always present to help us not to fall into temptation when we call for his help.

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
— Matthew 26:41 (KJV)

‭‭Matthew 6:13 TPT‬‬
[13] Rescue us every time we face tribulation and set us free from evil. For you are the King who rules with power and glory forever. Amen.’

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)

The provision of forgiveness of sin must never be to you an encourager to sin.
