THE GOD CONFLICT: Unraveling The Biblical Contradiction – Part 7

In my attempt to reveal the identity of satan in the Old Testament, I have ensured not to insinuate a conspiracy theory or put forth obscure thoughts and speculations. I have simply stuck to that which can be clearly read about in the Bible.

I believe that the Bible is sufficient to tell the difference between God and satan if we will critically look at the fine print.

In my last article on The God Conflict, I drew a straight line from the book of Hebrews, chapter 2, verse 14, to the Genesis account of “God,” communicating the knowledge of death to Adam.

In Hebrews 2:14-15, we are told that satan was the one who had the power of death, and through that power of death, he brought the fear of death upon mankind and consequently brought them under bondage to himself.

Hebrews 2 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
¹⁵ And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Seeing that the power of death is the same as the knowledge of death – for knowledge is power – it therefore reveals that the Lord God in the creation account is satan.

I want us to take a further look at other scriptural facts that connect the identity of satan to the Lord God.

The book of Hebrews 2:14-15 tells us that satan had the power of death. Aside from the power of death being the knowledge of death, it is also the ability to restrict a person from life.

Let me put it clearly: satan’s power of death over man was his ability to restrict man from life. So, whoever has this power can successfully keep mankind from accessing life.

Now, we turn the pages of our Bibles to the book of Genesis to see if we can find any parallel to this definition of the power of death.

When the first family ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil: which was their coming into the consciousness of their humanity, the Lord God sent them out of the Garden of Eden and blocked the way of the Tree of Life to man so he wouldn’t eat of it and live forever.

Genesis 3 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
²² And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
²³ Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
²⁴ So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

While the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents the consciousness of their humanity – for they knew that they were naked after eating of it – the tree of life is the consciousness of their divinity.

We have come to know that the metaphors “Bread of life,” “Water of life,” “Word of life,” “Spirit of life,” “Book of life,” and “Tree of life” speak of Jesus Christ who is the eternal life from the Father and the accurate revelation of man’s divinity.

1 John 1 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
² (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

“. . . as he is, so are we in this world.”
— 1 John 4:17 (KJV)

Since this is true of the Tree of Life, then it clearly reveals the malicious intent of the Lord God in keeping man away from the Tree of Life.

The action of the Lord God in keeping man away from the Tree of Life was not protective but restrictive.

In the New Testament’s conversations on the need for mankind to believe the gospel, Apostle Paul made a remark that further casts the Lord God as the villain in the Garden of Eden saga.

2 Corinthians 4 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
³ But if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost:
⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

We see that the Apostle Paul calls the one who made mankind ignorant of the gospel, which is the knowledge of life (Jesus Christ), the god of this world.

This action of keeping man in ignorance of life is consistent with the action of the Lord God in the garden of Eden.

The true God, as seen in the life of Jesus Christ, does not restrict man from life. Instead, he loudly calls unto everyone to come to the Water of Life, which is also the Tree of Life.

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”
— John 7:37 (KJV)

“And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”
— Revelation 21:6 (KJV)

God cannot be the one who kept man from The Tree of Life, and now, in Christ Jesus, calls man to come to the Tree of Life – this is a dichotomy of character that cannot be found in God.

Another proof that Jesus, who is the true God in the flesh, is not restrictive is seen in the event where his disciples restricted children from coming to him, but he granted them access without a second thought.

Mark 10 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹³ And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
¹⁴ But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Here is another thought on the restrictive action of the Lord God that would rattle your theology.

We know, according to the scriptures, that Jesus, who is the Tree of Life, is the solution to sin. And since man eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil was dubbed sin by the Lord God, and one which would lead to their death, then it is agreeable that the next action of the Lord God should be to introduce the first family to the Tree of Life just as we presently do to humans in the preaching of the gospel.

Rather, the Lord God kept them away from what would have “cured their sin problem” – if there was even one in the first place.

As you will see in the next article, the sin concept is all a hoax and a tool in the hands of darkness to dominate mankind.

Let me tell you another truth about the two trees. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil brought mankind into the consciousness of their humanity, which entails knowing right and wrong actions. With this knowledge came the empowerment of their will to choose either to do good or to do bad.

The tree of life, which is a knowledge of their divinity, was ordained to balance the consciousness of their humanity. (It also has other functions which are not the focus of this article.)

The consciousness of their divinity – which is God in man and love in man – would inspire them to choose goodness over evil just as we now have it in Christ Jesus.

In the absence of the consciousness of their divinity, they were susceptible to evil spirits who fanned the flame of the consciousness of evil in them and consequently inspired them to choose evil over good – this was why we saw the widespread of evil throughout human history.

Someone may argue that to avoid this occurrence was the reason the Lord God kept them away from both trees. Such an argument is superficial because the Tree of Life would have empowered mankind to choose good over evil, as is the case now with those who have received eternal life through belief of the gospel.

The Lord God had a nefarious scheme up his sleeves. He wanted to keep the human race subservient to his leadership – he wanted to rule perpetually over mankind. And that was why he only forbade them from eating from the tree that would activate willpower in them.

He knew that as long as they were ignorant of that which is good, they would never reach for the tree of life, hence the reason he was apprehensive when man became aware of good and evil and moved to drive them out of the garden so they wouldn’t reach out for the knowledge of their divinity.

“And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:”
— Genesis 3:22 (KJV)

I want to believe that the domino of institutionalized lies has fallen right in front of your eyes. In the next article, I will write about sin and the wrath of God.

Light is here!
