When we read the gospels’ account of the public ministry of Jesus Christ, we will discover that most of the healing people experienced through his ministry were credited to their faith.
We know that God’s power heals; but why did Jesus not credit the healings to the power of God?
The answer to this question is pretty simple.
The responsibility to be healed is on the one that is sick. And as it concerns divine healing, they exercise this responsibility by demonstrating faith.
The faith of the one who is sick or the faith of those around the sick establishes a connection between the one who is sick and the carrier of God’s power. This connection automatically causes the power of God to flow to the area of need.
This is a supernatural principle for getting anything done through the power of God.
And may I add that faith is demonstrative. Faith is the action we take because of what we believe.
When you check the gospels, you will discover that every time Jesus credited the faith of people, they did something differently. They acted on what they believed, and it happened to them as they expected it would happen to them.
Do you remember the story of the woman who had the issue of blood? She believed that Jesus could heal her. Her faith was in her reaching out to touch the helm of his garment. You sure know what Jesus’ remark on her healing was, “Your faith has made you whole.”
Decide on what you are going to do today because you believe in the power of God to heal you, and act on what you have decided to do.
You can be healed today.
