One of the reasons some Christians do not go out for evangelism is that they do not have a partner to go alongside them.
They had read in the scripture that Jesus sent them out in twos. They had read that it was Paul and Barnabas that was sent as a pair to evangelize Gentile regions.
They had read that it was Peter and John who were out together when the man was healed at the gate called beautiful, and the five thousand men besides women and children were won into the kingdom of God.
Because of these instances of a pair engaging in evangelism, they have concluded in their minds that they cannot go out for evangelism alone.
I know from personal experience that going out for evangelism with a partner does so much good. And I also know from personal experience, that the absence of a partner should not stop a Christian from going out for evangelism.
Most of my evangelistic outings are carried out alone. And I always come back with so much harvest of souls.
You may be concerned as to whether there is a biblical basis for going out alone on evangelistic missions.
The book of Acts chronicles three evangelistic missions that Philip embarked on alone. And everyone of those missions were successful.
Let us take a look at the first recorded solo evangelistic mission of Philip.
Acts 8 (KJV)

⁴ Therefore, those who were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word.
⁵ Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them.
⁶ And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
Philip was alone in this mission to Samaria. And he brought great joy to the city through the preaching of the gospel and the demonstration of the power of God. “And there was great joy in that city.”
— Acts 8:8 (KJV)
Let us consider the second solo evangelistic mission of Philip.
Acts 8 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
²⁶ And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
²⁷ And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
…
³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him, Jesus.
…
³⁷ And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
In this event of Philip preaching to the Ethiopian Eunuch, he was also alone on this evangelistic mission.
Now, let us take a look at the third solo evangelistic mission of Philip.
Acts 8 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
⁴⁰ But Philip was found at Azotus, and passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.
If you have a partner to accompany you on your evangelistic missions, make use of the partnership. If you do not have a partner to accompany you on your evangelistic missions, step out in full assurance that the Holy Spirit is with you as a partner on the mission field.
The harvest is great, and laborers will no longer be few.
