While out on evangelism, an important skill you must have is the skill to avoid an argument on the subject of the gospel.
As you move from person to person preaching the gospel, you will meet those who desire to argue the things concerning Jesus Christ, especially his resurrection and deity.
From personal experience, I have learned to avoid such arguments because they end up wasting my time. After all, the one instigating the argument never ends up believing the gospel. So, what I do when I perceive an argument brewing is to simply end the conversation immediately.
I do this because I know that the time I would spend arguing with the fellow who will end up not believing the gospel could have been used to get other people born again.
One of the things that happens when you get into an argumentative conversation on the gospel is that you get drained and lack the motivation to continue on your evangelism outing.
You are not on the field to win arguments; you are on the field to win souls. Ensure that you always stay focused on your mission while out on evangelism.
The harvest is great, and laborers will no longer be few.
